Programmes we offer

Bush Kindy

Once a week, our oldest tamaiti venture to our Base Camp at Sandy Point to engage in rich, hands-on learning in the natural environment. Bush Kindy offers opportunities for exploration, problem-solving, physical challenge, and connection with nature, supporting tamariki to build confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of kaitiakitanga (care for the environment).

Launchpad School Programme

Once a week, our oldest tamaiti attend the Launchpad Programme at Fernworth Primary School. This programme provides a gentle and meaningful introduction to the school environment, supporting tamariki who are preparing for the transition to school. Through structured activities and familiar routines, children build confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging within a school setting.

Spontaneous Excursions

At Aoga Amata, we are fortunate to have our own preschool van, which allows us to take part in regular spontaneous excursions within our local community. These outings enrich children’s learning and strengthen connections with the wider world. Recent excursions have included visits to the Christmas trees at the stadium, craft sessions and story time at the library, exploring the Christmas doors in Riverton, a trip to Bluff to explore the local area, and visits to Johnny and Sharlene’s farmlet to meet and care for a variety of animals.
